Ridgefield, Connecticut a small community in the rolling hills of Connecticut boasts of only a population of 7,276. This peaceful little community is near Redding, Connecticut makes a very nice place for retirement. The population growth has only been around .08% in the past few years while the median age is 42 years old. The community does boast of having excellent schools for the younger folks, which makes it one of the family places to live. The area hosts ten schools in all.

    The population scale shows that there are 49.3% males and 50.7% females from that 35.4% are single while a hefty 64.6% of the population is married. The Connecticut County real estate made to accommodate families with children that are where about 30% of families live in that area.  The high school boasts of about 90% of their students graduate and a hardy 18.2% go on to obtain a bachelors degree and another 16% obtained their graduate degree. The community is great for small town shopping and you find museums and historic homes as well as businesses that interest you. The Ridgefield Home is normally a bit on the nostalgic side more historic than modern looking. The area does have some newer contemporary homes but not many condominiums for renting. The rented homes range around 24.7% but most of those are historic houses or apartments.

    The scenic ride through the countryside makes going to the area well worth the trip in any season of the year. Ridgefield like all areas in Connecticut noted for its cold winters and hot summers. The January temperatures range around 18°F with snowfall average around 22”. The hot summer days of July average 84°F, which gives way for a nice swim in the beautiful lake that resides high in the hills around the area.

    Real Estate hereis very low the average home ranges around $814,300 and the value remains primarily the same. The real estate market in and round the area has fallen a lot over the past few years. Neither the buyer nor the seller fined that property rates have change very much. The buyer is very lucky in that the interest rates have stayed the same so buying a home is not that expensive. Ridgefield offers a lot of land for development, which makes a great investment for a primary investor. The ability to build newer homes would make living in Ridgefield more accessible and probably attract many of the younger generation.

    The real estate market here should start to be much more valuable as the population grows and the malls enter the community. The young people who grow up in the area make a difference in the demands of the neighborhood. Presently there is an unemployment rate of only 5% of the community so the majority of the people employed. The real estate agents find that property value has not changed over the past few years actually making sales of home a lot easier.
